Sahaja Yoga is appearing at fairs all over the world, with more and more success, and Italy has been no exception. Over the weekend of 13th-16th March, Sahaja Yoga in Milan faced a unique challenge. Two major fairs were to take place at which we had stands last year. But this time, they had been scheduled to take place simultaneously, over the same week-end! In addition, a large number of yogis had gone to India for the Shivaratri and Birthday pujas!
One fair was "Benessere" meaning "Well-being", at Milan's permanent industrial fair complex. But over $1,500 was requested for a stand, which was beyond our means. So our attention was directed at our stand at the other fair: the much-sponsored and publicised "India Fair" (all things Indian) at the huge "Forum" event/concert site just south of the city which attracted over 20,000 people last year with similar attendance this year. Well, as many of you know, extraordinary things can happen where spreading Sahaja Yoga is involved. At the last moment the "Benessere" fair offered us space completely free of charge! On the evening before opening there was no stand,no walls etc. just an empty space. However our dextrous leader Ezio succeeded in finding material and poles to construct a very attractive free-standing canopy and sides.
The "India" fair ran for 4 days, until midnight. "Benessere" for 3 days until 7 in the evening. Having enough yogis at each stand for all those hours was possible due to the great dedication showed by our brothers and sisters from all over northern Italy: Genoa, Turin, Verona, Tuscany etc. And at the end, this great collective effort resulted in an estimated 3,000 people receiving their Realisation. We wish the same good fortune and blessings on all such Sahaja Yoga enterprises all over the world.
JAI SHRI MATAJI! NIcholas Granby
