Dear brothers and sisters across the land of the 3 Americas,

The flames of our spirits lept with joy and rejoiced in the news that our beloved Holy Mother has blessed us with another opportunity to host Shri Krishna Puja at Nirmal Nagari in Canajoharie, New York, August 8-10. We all collectively desire to welcome our Divine Mother in the most respectful manner and prepare for this auspicious occasion with full attention and love. While it remains and enormous task to accomplish, we have risen to the occasion before, with our Holy Mother's blessings.

A bit of history...

The hanger was erected in less than 10 days and Shri Mataji's house and road were built in about the same amount of time. These feats were accomplished with dedication, hard work and commitment of many. How much we can accomplish this year will depend on how soon we are present on the land in substantial numbers. Please do not think that all of the work on the land that needs to be done for the Shri Krishna Puja seminar can be done by the few yogis who live at the ashram or go up from the east coast on the weekends. It is urgent that many, many yogis arrive as soon as possible to assist with the countless projects that require immediate attention.

Some of the projects that need to be done right away are listed below, but there are many others. Many of the developments that have been accomplished at Nirmal Nagiri resulted from the heartfelt desire and initiative of a brother or sister. Help is needed without delay for:

  • Cleaning, painting, arranging Shri Mataji's house
  • Washing and ironing Shri Mataji's linens
  • Gardening at Shri Mataji's house
  • Agricultural work
  • Improvements to and cleaning showers
  • Making new and fixing existing footpaths throughout the site
  • Building storage sheds
  • Road and parking lot improvements
  • Weeding, planting, and landscaping the central area around the hanger,
  • courtyard and kitchen areas
  • Building shade roof in the dishwashing area behind kitchen
  • Numerous carpentry projects
  • Cleaning and preparing the hanger

Finally, yogis are needed to remain on the land after the Puja to work on the construction of the first Sahaj Straw Bale schoolhouse in America. It is to be built on the land between Shri Mataji's house and the hanger. This is a very important project for the growth and development of our children and needs to be finished before winter arrives.

Now is the time to take extra days off and arrive as early as possible. The cost for meals while helping to prepare Nirmal Nagari for Shri Krishna Puja or after is $6/day. Please, please seriously consider how important it is that all of this work must be done within the 12 days!

We all look forward to the immeasurable blessing of hosting Shri Mataji and the many brothers and sisters from around the world for Shri Krishna Puja. At Guru Puja, Shri Mataji reminded us of our responsibility to depend on ourselves. We can collectively excel and realize the full potential of this crucial opportunity for ourselves and the manifestation of Shri Mataji's vision of an enlightened race worldwide.

Bolo Shri Amerikeshwari Shri Adi Shakti Mataji Shri Nirmala Devi Ki Jai !!!
